All parents, teachers and friends of our school are members of the PTFA. The PTFA is a registered charity and exists primarily to raise funds for the school to benefit all those who attend. To achieve this, we run a calendar of events to raise money as well as to build community within the school. As it is a registered charity the PTFA is required by law to have a committee in place. The committee also works directly with the senior leadership team of the school to decide where to direct the funds that have been raised. Our aims for 2017-2018:
- To encourage more support and involvement from parents/carers within the school
- To look for fresh fundraising ideas as well as continuing to support successful events and activities already in place
- To maintain transparency in terms of the PTFA’s role; its aims and how funds are spent (eg. subsidising school trips, big ticket items such as playground equipment).
Currently, the committee roles are: Chair – Kate Batty, Comms – Vicki Smith, Secretary – Anna Chapman, Treasurer – Karl Persson

More about the PTFA
All the PTFA events are organised by parent volunteers with support from the teaching staff. To give you some idea of the sort of events we organise, over the last year we’ve held a: PTFA fair
Over the past few years the PTFA has raised funds for a wide range of areas including our peace garden, new laptops and digital cameras, and for 2017-18, we are looking to invest some funds in the playground and shed, among other things.
Please feel free to contact us on email@example.com if you’d like some more information or to find out how you can get involved.
